Jenna Bush – confirmed

It isn’t school corporal punishment so if I’m too off topic just delete, but in years past many have wondered if George and Laura Bush spanked their twin daughters.  They were hesitant to admit it in that one interview.  However, in a recent interview, Jenna Bush admitted to being spanked as a child.  She said that she does not spank her kids, but that in the 1980s spanking was more common.  Jenna specifically says yes she was spanked, and she even tells of a time when she and her twin sister Barbara put books down their pants because they knew they were about to get spanked.  Here is the clip.  The reference starts at about 5:30.  Here it is:

Interest and contribution levels vary widely at present.  It is certainly not the same Forum that it was on Network54, but possibly none the worse for that.

We seem to accrue substantial numbers of new members, but sadly few of them ever post.

There seem to be various sites specialising in spanked celebrities, as Googling the term will indicate.  However a very rapid check finds me nothing with the interactive nature of this Forum.  We used to have an active thread on spanked footballers (soccer players in US terms).  Possibly persistence will pay off.  Why not try a general thread on the issue?  I can’t, I seldom if ever start new threads, sort of a convention now!

I was so excited when I made this discovery and couldn’t wait to share it. I have always wondered if George and Laura Bush spanked their twins, and Jenna confirmed it 100%. Back several years ago Dr. Phil asked President and Mrs. Bush if they spanked, and they were hesitant to answer. Jenna didn’t seem to mind telling it. She jokingly said she was scarred, but obviously she’s fine with it even if she doesn’t spank her own kids. She and sister Barbara must have been worried though since they put books in their pants, haha.

Books inserted into clothing to mitigate the pain of chastisement on the bottom by retributive teachers or angry parents were a staple of British childrens’ comics when I was a little lad, and indeed probably both before and after that now distant period.  However the risk of detection would I think inevitably be 100% if tried in real life.

A made to measure item in the sort of material used for altering bodily shape in the cinema and theatre might have done the trick, though probably beyond the means of most children to obtain.  Leather patches sewn into underpants by considerate Mums are claimed to have been beneficial, and extra layers of undergarments have been credited with similar virtues.

Alas some schools checked underpinnings before punishment.  Also experts in administering CP are said to have been able to tell by the sound of the impact that cheating was in progress.

The best policy was undoubtedly that practiced by myself when young.  Don’t be naughty, and if you do don’t get caught!  In any event the SCP which made the most impression on me when I chanced to fail in the latter department couldn’t have been mitigated by books, extra clothes, leather patches, or even a tailor made theatrical bottom protecting prosthetic layer.  The lady teacher dispensing justice simply pulled up  the leg of my short trousers and underpants to bare a substantial extent of tender upper thigh and smacked away for far, far too long!

For those of us in the UK, the Bush Family have rather faded from our memories, although opinions about the policies of President George W may remain strong.  It would probably be far more interesting to us to learn that President Trump had spanked his son Barron, who I imagine might be a difficult young man at times.

So people are mostly British here? I figured people would jump all over this. I used to be on a forum that would have loved this discovery. Unfortunately, that forum is now defunct.

i’m not british, i just don’t have much to say about W and wife spanking their kids, its sort of to be expected… they made a great todo about being texans, and cliched conservative texans spank their kids

Ah, Chelsea Clinton!  The chance for a bit of Forum archeology, once a principal weapon of the argumentative so and so’s who used to frequent this Forum but now alas only the province of doddering old has-beens like me who live largely in the past. 

The first conjunction here of Chelsea Clinton and corporal punishment was I think in this contribution by American Way (now posting as 2015holyfamilypenguin – don’t ask!) back in 2009.  This was in his thread commented on an open letter to President Obama in the Blog then operated by our subsequent (and now sadly missed) contributors the cyber-paddle wielding ladies of ‘Teachers Who Paddle’.  In those days American Way was a strong advocate of their authenticity whereas nowadays he evinces considerable misgivings on that score.

I put this latter down entirely to jealousy, ‘cos he never got summoned to the cyber-space TWP school conference room and ordered to bend over in the brace position to be cyber-paddled, whereas I was cyber-swatted by all four of them at one time or another, largely due to misunderstandings arising from the two nations divided by a single language problem. Ouch!  

Things then went quiet on the Chelsea Clinton CP front until July 2016 when hard paddling black female Southern US High School Assistant Principal Debbie112 (actually a male English academic with extensive knowledge of and involvement in Southern US education)  commented here on reports that Hilary Clinton spanked Chelsea until the latter was 17.  This didn’t elicit much interest, only garnering 2 responses.  Incidentally Debbie112 followed in the TWP tradition by also practising cyber-paddling when annoyed by contribution content.  Single layer of PE kit only, bend over hands on a low balance bench for swats with a lexan paddle.  An invitation was issued but I declined. 

A little later, in September 2016 the Chelsea Clinton CP issue took off, with no less than 20 contributions  here in the thread you mention above.  The moral of the story is clear.  With topics in this Forum, if at first you don’t succeed try, try again!

I am sad that you are clearly not finding what you seek here.  I can only say that many of our contributors are UK based and some of them tend to be a bit fixated on canes and slippers.  I’d hoped that giving the links to the Chelsea Clinton posts would drum up a bit of interest, but ’twas not to be.

Perhaps another female celebrity paddled in the past might do the trick, but my knowledge is insufficient to make suggestions.  Many of our contributors favour Mm chastisement so in extremis a male celebrity might work.  President Trump for instance.  I believe he was at military school like our very sadly missed contributor Bob T so I bet he got whacked a few times.  Didn’t do him much good though, more’s the pity!
