how many suffered the indignity of a knickers down spanking from a teacher in class by comments on this forum girls seemed too fair better than boys in the spankings at school stakes

I might be tempted to suggest that almost as many girls were spanked on the bare bottom as boys in UK state schools. I say this because in actual fact very few boys were spanked or caned across the bare bottom in school. It is something I never heard of it happening in local junior and secondary schools. I suppose it may have happen in the infants department of primary schools but as 5 to 7 year boys wore short trousers and girls of that age wore skirts many infants department teachers slapped the backs of legs. I have no knowledge of public or private schools though.

Bare bottom spankings were always more of a parental punishment. I knew of plenty who had that back in the 1950s/60s.

Thank you for starting a new thread but I think I can state quite categorically that you will definitely not be receiving any legitimate posts in the affirmative .Of course, if proved incorrect I, and I suspect many other members of this esteemed forum,would be most delighted.

I think  your post is too restrictive is that you stipulate that the underwear be taken down in class. Having carried out, over very many years, much research and having spoke to many recipients of both sexes of SCP, I am pretty sure this never happened. There are of course documented cases of completely bare bottom SCP but these were NEVER carried out in front of the class. If you bend the bench marks a bit you might get a better response.

At the age of 11 I was caned (with 3 others and unjustifiably hard..4 strokes) with pyjama bottoms lowered at school camp. If I had not been bent over a stool I would never have been able to stay in position This was for the very trivial offence of being out of bed after lights out and was in front of other members (boys) of our “dormitory” . Our “camp” was in fact a disused army camp on the Kent coast and we slept in bunk beds in huts. The teacher’ who in retrospect I believe to have been be far too fond of spanking , slippering and caning seemed to always be finding excuses to dish out to both boys and girls at camp even though the girls were technically supervised by a lady teacher. In fairness Miss Rabbit was a bit young and inexperienced. From our school they was about 25 boys and 10 girls supervised by Mr Thompson and The Rabbit. The camp only lasted 2 weeks and I recollect getting another caning over trousers before the tram lines of the first had gone and at least 2 otk spankings by hand, one on the bare. When I got the BB  the teacher remarked that I had some excellent cane stripes with good spacing and he was pleased he had made a good job of it !!This bare bottom stuff only occurred at camp, never at school, and the cane at school was only given to boys and only on the hand. I leave people to draw there own conclusions. To be fair the school camp was a great inexpensive holiday for children from working class families and lots of fun most of the time. It was taken in school time at the end of the year and only “leavers” were allowed to go. So you only got to go once.

A few months earlier I had witnessed the same teacher spank quite hard the almost bare bottom of a girl during a swimming lesson at the coucil  swimming pool the local schools used. The girl had jumped in after being told not too and had hit another girl she was trying just to splash. She was wearing(as was normal) a one piece swim suit and the teacher gave her a partial wedgie while otk. It obviously hurt a lot and I recollect being very upset at the time as the girl was really nice and friendly and I liked her a lot. The only amusing bit was the fact that the teacher was fully clothed and his trousers got a bit damp because of the girl’s wet costume.

This was in 1955. I had passed the 11plus exam and a few months later I went to Coopers Company School for the sons of Gentlefolk. This school had a reputation for discipline (and a first class education) and I think is somewhere recorded as being a “top” caning school. All teachers had authority to cane except perhaps our sole female who taught French , The last Frenchy we had before I left was very cool. Although she was not my French teacher, I persuaded her to sing some jazz standards in a small band I put together for the school concert. We were well rehearsed and went down a storm. But I digress .

Caning at Coopers was always on the bottom over trousers usually in front of the class and all punishments were witnessed by another teacher and entered in the punishment book. They really hurt. Slipperings were also very common and were not witnessed or recorded. I never received anything bare bottom but it was common knowledge that a couple of lads in my year but not in my class…. (2^nd year they would have been around 12/13) received a very sound otk slipperng by our PE instructor with gym shorts lowered for cutting gym class and being caught smoking in the toilet. I understand they chose this instead of a caning as they did not want another caning on their “record” .This was not given in front of the class and no one is quite sure whether this was a good choice .

I vaguely remember a past foreign secretary who was an old Etonian being accused of caning a boy on the bare bottom when in a position of authority at the school. I seem to remember he had the option of administering the caning over trousers but chose to apply it to the junior boy’s bare backside. I think the accusation was made in Private Eye many years ago.

Cathy..In my post I actually do not deny girls got it bare at school; only that it was not in front of the class. The  activities of Colin West and others is well documented as regards teenagers and there were many instances at junior schools.
