Hi stephenhutchings
No problem.
You’ve detailed four incidents where it’s clear the intention was to treat boys more harshly than girls – here, where you were slippered in lieu of a girl; here, where the boys were slippered and the girls given 50 lines; here, where the boys got six strokes but the girls only got three; and here, where you got six strokes but the girls only got three.
In the first example the “punishment” was completely unfair regardless of who got it. In the second example the same teacher slippered all the boys in the class and gave the girls 50 lines. Do you know if they bothered to do them? I certainly wouldn’t!
In the third example, the boys got six strokes on their bums whilst the girls only got three – but on their hands. In my experience, the girls got the harsher punishment but I very much doubt that was the intention. It’s just possible the punishments were intended to be equal but, if that were the case, it would have made more sense to give both boys and girls the same punishment.
In the last example, you were the instigator so that would justify a slightly harsher punishment. I wonder if the same argument would have been used if one of the girls had bought the cigarettes? I doubt it. What I found interesting about this example is that, despite your being considered the instigator, the difference in punishments was exactly the same as in the third example when both sexes were equally guilty.
Although ostensibly being treated more leniently, the girls at your school probably got the worse deal.
I’m glad it worked in your case.

Corporal punishment survey
Hi, I don’t know if this forum can help, but I’m trying to put together some realistic data regarding the use of corporal punishment in schools.
Reading this and other internet sources of information it is clearly very hard to distinguish between genuine accounts of CP, peoples fantasies, and role play.
School punishment books are difficult to find, or access. When they are available they only show the information that the establishments wished to disclose. They also only reflect official punishments, generally administered by the Head, consequentially they are not very representative of the general use of CP within schools.
If I study references in the media, the reports are generally only written when the incident was questionably outside the law. In England where I live, and indeed went to school, corporal punishment was legally practiced up until 1986. Therefore there would be no reason for the media to cover anything except the unusual.
Many of us however have witnessed (often first hand) the use of corporal punishment at school. If you have (as indeed have I) I’d be very grateful if you’d reply to this post giving as much accurate information as you feel comfortable with. However to keep this thread out of the realm of fantasy, I’d ask that you only post facts, and leave the creative writing and long discussions to other forums.

Any other relevant info: I’d realised over the last couple of years that I found the idea of corporal punishment exciting sexually. It turned me on. I decided to try and get myself caned. I succeeded, but I found the experience a lot less pleasurable than I thought it would be. I didn’t expect to be caught by a female, which made it much more embarrassing (not the punishment, as much as what I was caught doing) and it hurt a lot more than I really would have liked. I did enjoy it as well, in some ways – it’s hard to explain. I liked it and I didn’t like it at the same time. That includes the embarrassment.

Hi Jenny
Having only ever been caned on the bottom plus receiving 6 strokes compared to the girls 3 strokes
i thought that i,d received the more severe punishment, plus the fact the pain was intense. But reading
your posts i know you,ve received the cane on both hand and bottom, and you think hand caning is more
painful,i respect your view. One way in which my punishment was more severe was the hiding we both
received at home was on the bottom, one bottom that had received 6 strokes of the cane, one bottom which
had received 3 strokes on the hand see my point

Hi stephenhutchings
I have little doubt that the intention was to treat you more harshly, because of your sex, than the girls but I would question whether your teachers achieved that.
I take your point regarding the subsequent punishment at home but even that’s not clear cut. You ended up with a very sore (two whackings) bum but your sister ended up with sore (one whacking) hands and a sore (one whacking) bum. I’m not saying you’re wrong – it’s what you felt that counts – but I don’t think I would have preferred what your sister got. Applying different punishments purely on the basis of the offenders’ sex is bound to be unfair but it’s not clear which sex ends up being treated more harshly.

Are you still collecting first-hand accounts of school CP? I was caned in ( I think) 1950 for attempting (so they said) to burn the school down. In fact it was a prank to light an open fire in the basement, without any thought as to the consequences. Stupid of course, but that’s what we all said when caught. I was punished alone in my housemaster’s study, having been ordered to report in dressing gown, pyjamas and slippers. I think the other miscreants got the same. I was lectured on the stupidity and potentially disastrous consequences of what I’d done (all true)and told that I was to be beaten. The dressing gown was removed and I was told to bend over and touch my toes. I got 3 hard strokes and then was told to drop my pyjama bottoms for three more on the bare. Those, I was told, were personal, for interrupting his dinner. So although the book may have shown three, the reality was 3 + 3.
I received 6 on several occasions – whether they were ‘of the best’ I have no idea – only that they hurt like hell and definitely modified my behaviour. Usually in my shorts, but on one occasion ‘bare’. I left school wit a good record and no ill-feelings – save a personal hatred of the housemaster who took the word of a liar and gave me ‘6 on the bare’ which I did not deserve.
