This sounds so familiar.

I was a child of the 70s and early 80s. Like you say, despite evidence on here, CP was on the wane at home.

However it was still a constant threat at school. So I would always try and engineer school games with friends.

Every now and then it would be bingo and end up bare bum. It did mean getting my own bum smacked but it was worth it as it meant I could smack the others.

Such amazing memories of smacking Angela, and her younger brother Guy, bare bum over my knee.

When I was about 7 my older brother told me about the punishments he received at school with the slipper and cane, he was quite proud of them!
I was curious to know what it felt like and he offered to give me a taster, adding that it would be good preparation for me.
So he gave me a good 6 across my shorts with my plimsol.
Obviously it stung, but it was also fun in a way, especially after the initial sting had subsided.
