After changing into her jeans and throwing her wet pants into the wash, Jennifer went back to her room. Since she was grounded, her Spring Break was ruined. However, the stone did teach her a valuable lesson. It was best to be treated as an adult instead of a baby. She looked at the stone one more time and decided that it was best to get rid of it. Jennifer opened up her window and threw the stone out into the street and it fell into a sewer gate, never to be seen again.
“Adios, wishing stone,” Jennifer said.
After 10 more minutes, Melissa came back into Jennifer’s room with a bag from the pharmacy.
“What do you have there, mom?” Jennifer asked.
“Since you had wet yourself, I picked up these for protection,” her mother answered, pulling out a pack of Depends from the bag.
“Diapers?” Jennifer shouted. She never wanted to see another diaper ever again after the experience she had.
“They’re protective undergarments,” her mother corrected her, “I want you to wear these for a week. If you don’t have any accidents, then you can go back to wearing underwear.”
