The High Price of Stealing2

Their father was away on a business trip. He’d been gone a full week already and would not return home until the following Sunday. He was, in any case, excused from this weekly ritual. Dad worked most Saturdays, and was allowed the luxury of remaining home on the few Saturdays he had off.

Josh was enthralled with photography and had long begged his parents for a 35mm camera. Finally, his persistence had paid off and he’d received a 35mm camera on his 12th birthday. When his parents gave him the camera they told Josh that they had done their part by buying him the camera, and that it was now his responsibility to take care of the camera, and to pay all expenses related to his hobby.
