Ray looked up, starting to get interested. “What happened?”
“Well,” Trinna began, feeling just a little nervous. “I haven’t told this to anyone before, not mom or dad, or anyone else.”
“What is it?” Ray leaned in closer, definitely intrigued.
She took a deep breath. “After what happened yesterday, you probably know that I was wearing pull-ups to bed back then, too. One day, I was even more jealous of you than usual. I don’t even remember what it was about anymore.” She lowered her voice, even thought the house was empty. “That night, I pooped in my pull-up, and told mom and dad I was sick. They believed me, and they helped me get cleaned up, sort of like how I helped you last night.”
“But I didn’t do that on purpose.”
“I know. But when they helped me, I saw that they really did care, and I got over my jealousy. Understand?”
