In my first year she had grabbed me by the scruff of the neck , forcibly tucked my shirt in for me, throttled me by adjusting my tie and told me to see my hair was brushed and shoes were properly cleaned by tomorrow or I would shortly experience considerable discomfort in sitting down. Needless to say my standards of tidiness improved remarkably. All the stories that we had heard of how she would slipper only bare bottoms and how everyone no matter how brave always cried only increased our fear. So by the the time we heard the purposeful stride coming like nemesis to exact retribution, we were both feeling very sorry for ourselves to say the least.
