I remember being smacked on the back of the legs by a young female teacher when i was about 6 in 1973 and I was very upset because i hadnt done anything wrong.
My girlfriend was given 2 strokes of the cane one on each hand by her headmistress for smoking at the age of thirteen.
She said she had no problem with being punished for doing wrong but what was unfair was she had to take a letter home to say she had been caught smoking and her grandmother gave her a severe smacking on her bare behind and so got punished twice.
