Over the years I was there the amount of cp was reduced a great deal. By the time I was a prefect we were supposed to give punishments like lines if we saw a kid breaking a school rule. We were only allowed to slipper a boy if he failed to do his lines. As a reasult, in the term I was a prefect I only got to slipper a boy once – so I made sure it was a really good hard whacking that he (and I) would remember.
