Dirty plimsolls were not really a crime at my school, but not having them or any other piece of P.E kit most definitely was. In an earlier post I mentioned that I was quite mad at school, it wasn’t mad in an evil way I was just very scatterbrained and disorganised which meant forgetting books, pens, P.E kit, notes from my parents, forgetting detentions (got slippered twice for that) etc whereas the penalty for some of these offences was the slipper when the teachers knew who they were dealing with (a lost cause!…ME)they tended to go a bit easy i.e a cursory flick across the backside with a cane or pump which I do include in my totals of how many times I was slippered or caned.
