The First time I was sent was for talking in class and was warned any repeat could mean the dreaded cane!.. Stayed out of trouble for a couple of years after that but let my guard down one day when I cheeked our English tutor, Miss Shepherd. I was marched out of class and straight to the headmaster’s room.
