A walking stick sounds like an unlikely implement for a teacher in a British school to beat a child with, especially a little girl. However, the name does sound as though it might be from the Indian Sub-Continent and such incidents do not seem to have been entirely unusual in some schools there. Who knows, she may have been educated over there and now resident here. The ‘6 foot 4 inch teacher’ is interesting. Given his brutality, he would clearly have been eligible to become one of the 6-foot 4-inch principals our Honorary Life Member Ms Paula Flow rails against – the ones who beat girls on their ‘bathing suit areas’. However, they all weigh 300 lbs, so that might have disqualified him.
