I don’t blame the kids…they were just reacting instinctively to an environment they found strange and hostile, .Where home and school values clashed 24/7 and where the will to learn had been beaten out of them…….by staff who at one time were probably as well-meaning and enthusiastic as I was……
And how disingenuous… The article begins by announcing the abolition of corporal punishment, and guess what, by the end off the first page its back…you mean to say it never disappeared, except in the mind of some woolly headed pc liberal for whom it dematerialized for a split second and then, hey presto rematerialized when he cottoned on that not all, schools are state schools…..?…..
