She now realized that she had to go it further than that. Erin had had so many bad things happen to her, and Hailey swore to herself that she wouldn’t let anything further happen to Erin.
Sue finished setting the table for breakfast. They would be having pancakes, one of Hailey’s favorite breakfasts. Although Hailey seemed happy enough to have her cousin staying with her, it was still a big change, and she figured she could at least ease it a little bit by being extra nice to Hailey. Of course, Erin probably needed more attention than Hailey, but she hadn’t had the foresight to ask Erin what she liked to eat.
