Margaret had now turned into a middle aged but non the less attractive woman and during the evening, after some intake of alcaholic beverage, I approached the lady and engaged her in conversation, during which she revealed that she became a social worker, well I nearly spilt my drink! I asked her why she and Carol (in another conversation at the bar) had me caned the way they did. At first she said she failed to recall the incident, but when pushed, the reply was quite shocking, “It was only a bit of fun, get over it!”. It may have been fun for them but for me it was another very painful and possibly life changing event.
