I agree that boys were slippered a lot more than girls and that usually girls would be slippered by females, and that in comparison to boys being punished girls being slippered was quite rare. So we don’t disagree on that one, boys were slippered every day at my school, however even if only one or two girls a year were slippered by the headmaster, and that’s an under exaggeration, there would be many more in some schools, and over say the whole late 60s/ early70s era, in every school in England, there would certainly be a hell of a lot of girls slippered by the headmaster.
