Linking suicide to school corporal punishment, suggest that the person kills themselves soley because they were caned or paddled at school.

This is ridiculous!

I fully agree but, according to Dr Dominum, girls who receive CP at school are at greater risk of developing psychological problems and of committing suicide.

Many many other life experiences occur that influence a person as they grow up, both in their childhood home, and in the experiences and challanges of transition to adulthood. And being an adult can be more complex and difficult than growing up.

Exactly! Much (if not most) of the “research” is based on CP in the home: which I suspect in many cases might be a euphemism for “abuse”. I can understand how children who were abused could develop psychological problems in later life.
