In the end one director took retirement with us twisting some arms to get him a part time post with the educational regulator, whilst the other tried going for broke by repeatedly returning full time and going sick within the next couple of months. Finally , he cut his own umbillical cord because he refused ro discuss or participate in a reognization, so ended up redundant.It was an open secret he wanted a collapse at work to enable a more favorable package.
Now I’m not suggesting in this case either any personal motives to the teacher or Machiavellian tactics by the LEA or school Head , governors or human resources, but it can happen . When people are playing to win for money , and where there is a definite and finite budget nearly anything is possible.
