Fascinating-I’m sure you ain’t the only one on this forum in any education system that fell into the pack mentality at the wrong time.
I was lucky(yes, that’s the right word here)to be bullied in my 4th & 5th years, so I saw the other side of it. That meant a different reaction from me in 61CC to Spook Dawson.
Spook was principally Chemistry, about 5′ 6″, 7 stone wet through, with NHS specs, short back & sides, a high-pitched voice I can still imitate perfectly now, and was also one of the school Scout troop. Not exactly a recipe for grooving it with us revolting students(this was 1968/9 academic year & yours truly was torn between emulating Tariq Ali or Daniel Cohn-Bendit!!).
