When it was done in public like this the teacher always took his time savouring the moment. This only served to increase the hatered we had for 90 percent of the teachers. If it had to be done [and 8 times out of 10 in my view it didnt} Then the headmaster should have executed the punishment in his study not in a classroom and not at asembly in front of 500 pupils.Anyway this is just a summary as a senior then who has both given and recieved cp I could go into greater detail and on every instance if thats of any help to you? I wonder why punishment is the one thing every child remembers with clarity? Surley it should be the happy times?
