When I was at school, I used to take a short cut through an out of bounds area. I was “talked to” by different teachers on an almost daily basis. Do you think I took a blind bit of notice? Of course I didn’t. It was only after the same teacher caught me three or four days’ running (after having “talked to” me several times before) and took me to the Associate Headmaster, who gave me two strokes of the cane, that I decided it would be prudent to use to approved route instead.
