Level two (HM only)
Light caning
I got 3 strokes over PJs, it hurt, I did not cry, but would have done I think if it had been any more.
Level three
Normal caning (sometimes also with detention or lines)
Not in my experience.
they said 6-12 stokes were normal, always trousers down.
Level Four
Severe Caning
Bare ? 24 strokes. 12 this week and 12 next week ……
rumours only, it happened to repeat offenders, though not sure personally what did happen.
Persons thus caned were an aloof bunch, did not talk about it.
Level Five
Expulsion.
