I think it is a very long time since any UK male regarded himself as superior to females. I’m 67, and you’ll have to look very hard to find anyone in my generation with that attitude. In subsequent generations you will find it only in the incorrigibly thick and/or misogynistic. And I simply do not believe that in the last 60 years any male has objected to girls being caned because he was worried that they might take a caning better than he did. Indeed, I’ll go so far as to doubt that any male has ever objected to females being subjected to corporal punishment because of that factor.
