Seriously, it is fairly clear I think that in some schools girls did indeed try to get boys corporeally punished because they were immune from corporal punishment themselves.
I think it did happen and it was clearly wrong. Further I’ll agree that your school had the correct method of discouraging such behaviour BUT I think yours was an exceptional school where I’m sure all the checks and balances required in a CP regime were in place, even if they weren’t obvious to you at the time.
Not all schools were as good as yours at managing a CP regime, and in those schools, as we’ve discussed many times, I’d be unhappy to see CP used for girls. I’d have some reservations about it being used for boys, but that option would probably be better than the alternative.
