Now I am one of the relatively few people here who advocates the return of school CP in the UK as one of the possible answers to the decline of society in general and school discipline in particular. In the context of school CP clearly we cannot alter history. The school CP that has happened in the past has happened. My observation of my own school days is that CP did a great deal more good than harm, and at that time, the late 1940s and 1950s, it was almost totally unregulated. JJ could, and possibly would, have had a splendid time!
