I hated this woman with a vengeance – I was a very quiet girl throughout my school life but she once caught me whispering to someone sat next to me in assembly.
When we got back to the classroom she made me lean over the desk in front of everyone else and she whacked me really hard on the back of the legs with a ruler – several times.
