I take it that, under the same circumstances, you would have told him to Foxtrot Oscar, or similar.
Is that what you would have done, or what you now like to think you would have done? It don’t see it is something we can ever evaluate.
Does my acceptance of the punishment make me weaker than you, or is it just indicative of our different values? I appreciate there was a level of conditioning at school, part of which undoubtedly affected my values and response to the situation.
Thankfully though, it would appear from our differing response to this particular situation, that the level of conditioning we received did not turn us out as automata, or it would be a dreadfully dull world in which to dwell.
