Crossdressing: Buying Glasses

Question

I’m short-sighted and really need to wear my glasses when going out.

I’ve tried contacts but they’re no good for me.

My “man-form” glasses seem a bit masculine and I’d love some female ones.

Does anyone know of a tv friendly optician in Lancashire or manchester?

I have the same problem but simply took my prescription into Specsavers.

They have a rack which is pretty much unisex, and I got a reasonable pair for £30.

To be honest, what are they going to say if you pick some off the girl’s rack.

Some guys like to buy glasses that are not too macho.

A sale is a sale and even if they guess, most of the assistants are really friendly, especially if they are on commission.

If you are worried about confidence go to another town or even Manchester where they don’t know you.

I waited until I needed some new glasses and went for the Specsavers for a  2 for 1 deal.

One pair from the male section and one from the unisex.

I use the unisex pair when en femme.

Most of the larger chains have their ranges online.

Have a look there and see if any of the unisex pairs match your desires.

I was happy with a unisex pair as it means if I have a problem with my male pair I can still use them as a replacement.

Not sure I could do that with a female pair.

For me this stopped being a problem a long time ago.

So many types of glasses work for males and females that there’s hardly an issue.

The new rimless specs are great in that their design means that they can hardly be seen, and so your makeup remains visible, your eyes look larger in specs and they can look sexy on both men and women.

I have a prescription that is bordering on short-sightedness and so cannot manage without specs.

I tried contact lenses.

However, since I have presbyopia, when I had the contacts in, I couldn’t see to do my eye makeup,

With the lenses out, and doing my makeup first, I ended up with makeup in my eyes when I tried to put them in, and I looked as if I had been crying all night.

Opticians don’t give a damn what specs you wear as witnessed by the offenses wrought on us by Elton John, Christopher Biggins, Dierdre Barlow, and Timmy Mallett.

If in doubt, go get them made up by an optician or another city.

Tell em you are trans.

Some places will even turn around a pair in an hour, so when you get out and about en femme you can order a nice pair in the morning to wear in the afternoon.

One final word of advice though, be sure to get the high refractive index plastic lenses with anti-reflective coatings to ensure your eyes sparkle as opposed to you looking as if you are auditioning for a Benny Hill sketch.
