His Mother took him by the hand and said sympathetically, “Tommy, you don’t have to be ashamed for getting younger. It’s not your fault. Mommy understands. If you have an ‘accident’ just tell me and I’ll take care of it. Okay?” She hugged him and said, “That’s Mommy’s sweet baby! Why don’t you play with your toys while Mommy cleans the house?”
Thomas went back to his room and tried to play with his old toys from his toybox, but his heart wasn’t in it. Finally, he gave it up as a bad job and went to ask his mother if he could watch TV. She agreed, but she told him that she’d choose the channel and what he’d watch. She explained that there were simply too many programs on TV that weren’t appropriate for a boy his age.
