It was at Boots in Basingstoke that I found out what foundation suited me.
I had just had a manicure in “The Basement at the Priory” (a barbers shop) and went into Boots.
Initially, this was to look at makeup.
I asked the assistant on one of the makeup counters for advice on foundation and she said it would be better if I bought the lady along with me.
I pointed at my face and said it is for this one.
I then had two very helpful young ladies work out what shade of foundation I needed.
They complimented me on my nicely shaped and varnished nails and then proceeded to sell me over £50 worth of cosmetics.
Nowadays I go straight to the foundation that I need and, get a few points on my Advantage Card at the same time.
