Any one parent may have been aware of it if told by their son/daughter, but would one parent stand up against the school when other parents were not aware of how much corporal punishment was being carried out, and the manner in which it was administered, particularly on older girls. If other parents were not aware, they would not support the one parent.
Stating “Any information is a confidential matter between the home and the school is clearly not being open and truthful to parents about the school’s policy. If it had been made clear to all parents what the school’s policy on corporal punishment was or the method in which it was administered, how many parents would have agreed with it?
