Corporal punishment should only be used in a school if its use enjoys majority parental support (or at least doesn’t attract majority parental opposition)
Corporal punishment should only be used in a school if its use enjoys majority student support (or at least does not attract majority student opposition) when compared to other disciplinary options.
Ideally, on points 4 and 5, I would prefer a situation where such support can be gauged based on particular ‘classes’ of student where no ‘class’ of student (or parents of students) have the right to veto decisions taken for other ‘classes’ of students.
