“Should corporal punishment be used with junior students ” any polling should involve junior students and their parents, not senior students and their parents (unless, of course, they are also the parents of junior students). The same applies to sex. If the question is “Should corporal punishment be used with boys”, what is relevant is the opinion of boys and their parents – their decision should not be vetoed by girls or the parents of girls (unless these parents are also the parents of boys).
