The man who thrashed me is probably still alive and, therefore, he cannot be named. One of the purposes of this article is to heap him with hatred, ridicule, and contempt. l can say only that he was the headmaster of the direct-grant grammar school in a small town in the southeast which I attended from 1958 to 1961. And that I write this on behalf of Tony, Peter, Richard. Barry, David and every schoolboy and former schoolboy who ever took a beating from a vicious fool of a teacher to whom truth and justice mattered nothing.
