“Emma, don’t!” Tony pleaded.
“Don’t?” Emma mocked. With that, she pressed the edge of the razor against K.J.‘s throat. A small drop of red appeared at the point, the reporter let loose a muffled scream, and a stream of urine leaked down her leg. “I told you to stay away! Now you get to watch me kill her. First her, then you, then me, right in front of Daddy. He’ll die on his own shortly afterwards, I suppose. I gave his nurse the day off.”
“At least tell me why,” Tony insisted.
Emma threw back her head and laughed. “Oh, why not,” she said. “I suppose it doesn’t matter now…”
Tony looked around the room. The tripod was close, but any sudden movement could mean the end for K.J. His leg throbbed and he was terrified, but he had to keep calm, wait for Emma to slip up.
