I agree with others about the gut being the biggest issue.
All I can say is that, in my case, cutting right back on carbohydrates/ sugars made a big difference.
I achieved a big improvement without obsessive calorie counting or much sacrifice.
Before covid, I started to look ok in regular suspenders without heavy firmware or corsets.
In the last 18 months, I’ve slipped back a bit but nowhere near where I was.
Getting rid of the midriff is a good health move as well. I wish you success
