Yep, definitely the gut.

I’m naturally quite slim anyway but am prone to putting on weight there if I’m not careful.

I lost 9kg in 5 months at the start of last year and found a mixture of exercise and healthy eating did the trick.

I did a mixture of cardio plus weights (high reps but low weights) and yoga-type stretching seemed to make my body appear longer/leaner.

As for diet, I think the biggest positive changes I made were making my own lunch to take to work which meant I ate a lot more veg.

I also brought my own snacks like fruit, veg and houmous etc.

Generally eating healthy meals was not the main challenge but rather avoiding eating sugary snacks in between.

And cutting back on booze makes a big difference too.
