Mom was a hippy at heart(who had good hygiene ) who raised both my sister and myself on the principles of Dr. Thomas Gordon book Parents Effectiveness Training. (P.E.T.) While I will not claim we were both the perfect little angels who never got into any trouble but will say that we were good kids who both turned into caring sweet moderately hard working happy adults.(who both raise our children close to the same way our parents did.)
Guess what I am trying to get across is don’t understand on a moral level how can a adult can use physical pain to get the weakest and most vulnerable members of society too obey. It just does not compute with me on a moral level at all.
