In secondary school one of the senior mistresses that we had did strap senior girls across the hands but it was not with a tawse. It was just a regular strap. You had to put both your hands out together close to each other. It was usually 4 or 6 across both at the same time. I found them very hard to take but some girls could take 6 without too much drama. I don’t know how they did it.
Yes I witnessed a girl receiving 6 of the best across both hands in the hallway once. She took them very well. A very brave girl in my opinion.
