Daniel feels a sinking feeling of disappointment. He went from moments ago thinking he had gotten everything he ever wanted. To this. He searches for words. The words he can use to reassure her that he won’t start to resent her. That she is enough for him, Diapers or no diapers. But he cant. Instead he sits up next to her and remains in silence as he allows a single tear to roll down his cheek.
Donna wipes her eyes with her fingers and stands up off the bed. Silently she removes the diaper and places it onto the bed and quickly pulls her clothes back on. Daniel looks up to see her starting to walk out of the room. She pauses for a moment by the door and looks at Daniel’s face for the first time since she stood up.
“I… I’ll… come by for my things once I sort out my own place. Goodbye Danny” she says softly.
