I don’t know if the female PE teacher used a similar implement, in fact I don’t know for sure if she used a slipper at all although I suspect she used something as the occasional girl would look a bit upset and red-eyed after gym. The Headmaster of our senior school never used a slipper, it was always the cane on the bottom. The senior mistress used the cane on girl’s bottoms, but she had a separate office and her own cane(s) so maybe hers were less severe.
