Like you, my first experience of teachers smacking was at my infant’s school. The headmistress was a very tall well-built lady and she smacked the top of my legs on a few occasions. She would always hold my trouser leg up and smack on the bare thigh. I thought this was bad enough until my last year when I was 7. I was in the toilet when the bell rang for the end of the break. I came out and walked slowly across the playground and kicked my football against the wall as I went. Suddenly I heard Mrs L yell out my name. She ordered me to come to her room. I got to the door and she was waiting. I knew I was in trouble and expected a smacked leg as normal. She took the ball and then started shouting at me.
