I quickly skimmed through the menu and asked her for a just glass of Water. Amber was next and asked for two glasses of orange juice; one for her and the other for Lea.

“Alright, no problem, they will be right out!” The waitress chirped with a bright smile directed to the little girl still clutching my arm. She quickly made her way to the back, much to Lea’s relief. She slowly lost her grip on my sleeve. I was worried that if this was the way she acted around just one person whom she’s never met before, how would she react to meeting everyone when she came to live with me? I sighed and decided to put this problem for later; today was a day to have fun.
