She cringed as she edged past the people who had stood up to let her family through to the empty seats. She didn’t dare look at their faces, but she knew that they must be glaring at her for making them get up. They couldn’t hate her, could they? After all, it was Uncle Martin they’d stood up for; she’d just followed along with Aunt Sue and Hailey.
