The third time my Headmaster caned me I was caned with four friends and we were caned in front of each other receiving six strokes each, I received two extra strokes for not being over straight away when I jumped up after the third and fourth strokes and one friend received an extra for not bending straight away when he jumped up after the fifth. Again there was a change to the technique, our Headmaster counted the strokes and tapped our bottoms after each stroke, a friend pointed out later that he was putting each subsequent stroke over where the previous stroke had landed. My buttocks were marked with tramlines, bruising, and three raised welts.
