At the secondary school, I attended in the late 1970s the lovely!! pe master always made sure everyone had a shower after games so boys from 11 to 16 were always naked in the communal shower if any boys larked around in the showers we would be welcomed when we exited the showers by the gym master who waved a large plimsoll we would all be told to touch our toes (or try) and he would hit the whole class with two wacks of the slipper on the bare bottom, did anyone else have experience of this? the gym master seemed to get some pleasure from this !!.
