Howard was immediately led back to the bathroom and disrobed, then had his pubes washed with a washcloth and taken to the bedroom to be put into fresh underwear. After that, Anita put him down for his midmorning nap. It was long overdue and probably accounted for his willful behavior in front of Sara. Howard complied willingly, it had been an emotionally exhausting morning. He didn’t even object when Anita stuffed a cloth diaper into the front of his underwear before he went to sleep.
