Running to my car I called the center to see if Amber was still there. I noticed Stephanie was running right behind me but was unable to catch up and I sped off with a slight sense of guilt for leaving her there. I shook it off and remembered how this problem was about Lea and Amber, and how negatively it could affect them.
Fortunately, the Orphanage was only a couple of traffic lights away. I sloppily stopped my car on the nearest parking spot, and rushed to meet up with Amber.
“What’s wrong?” She asked, noticing my grim expression.
“People… Saw us at the Park that day.” I replied hesitantly. I knew she had not attained the gravity of the situation, so I continued.
“A show broadcasted all three of us there. The public now recognizes you and Lea as these ‘mysterious people in Marshall Soel’s life’.” I mocked, deeply upset still.
