Harry Conlon and Arthur Richardson, described by Mr. Justice Scrutton at the Leeds Assizes yesterday as despicable bullies, were sentenced to thirty-four strokes with the cat and eighteen months and twenty-one months’ imprisonment respectively for assaulting and robbing a man in Leeds.
